Music in the Community: A Network of Support
I'm proud to collaborate with a wonderful network of music teachers throughout our community. We come together with diverse teaching styles and backgrounds, united by our commitment to collaboration, respect for different approaches, and dedication to providing enriching opportunities for our students. Whether a teacher focuses on traditional private lessons or integrates music into broader community settings, we honor each path while working together to support high-level musicianship for those who seek it. Together, we volunteer countless hours to create musical opportunities that benefit all our students and the broader community.
This collaborative spirit means your child isn't just my student—they're supported by an entire community of dedicated educators who celebrate each other's students and genuinely want everyone to succeed. Through joint recitals, workshops, ensemble opportunities, and community events, we're building something bigger than any one studio can offer alone. This is music education as it should be: generous, interconnected, and rooted in the belief that when we lift each other up, everyone rises together.
Helena Music Teacher’s Association
Helena Music Teacher’s Association (HMTA) is a group of over 30 local music teachers who collaborate throughout the year with each other and with the community to support music education in the Helena community. HMTA offers scholarships to local music students to attend music camps, pay for music lessons, repair or buy instruments, and study music at a collegiate level. HMTA also offers performance opportunities for students and teachers throughout the year.
